Me acaban de llegar noticias fresquitas de Zumaia, donda acaba de terminar la tercera prueba de la Copa de España de carreras por montaña.
La denominada IV Flisch Trail Mendi Lasterketacon 31,2 km y unos 1.500m de desnivel positivo acumulado congregaba a algo más de 500 corredores, que han visto cómo Zaid Ait Malek, el marroquí afincado en Andalucía y con una sonrisa siempre en la cara, ha ganado con autoridad y sobrado.
Fue parte de la carrera con Pedro Hernández y otro marroquí (no recuerdo el nombre) y en el km 18 dijo "adiós, ahí os quedáis" y ha entrado sobrado, me dicen desde allí. Y eso que está en el Ramadán, con lo que ni come ni bebe durante el día.
Dani Tristani y Toni Roldán (balear) completan el podio absoluto y algún conocido como Ramón Recatalá entró en sexta posición.
¡¡Zaid se pone líder en la Copa de España!!
Pero eso no es todo: dos veteranas andaluzas han quedado segunda y tercera en el podio. Encarni Martínez consigue la plata e Inma López lo hace en tercera posición en una categoría que ganó la aragonesa Pilar Prades.
En absolutas femeninas, una de las favoritas, Ana Conde, se ha tenido que retirar en el km 3, con lo que ha dejado la victoria en bandeja a Oihanna Kortázar. Siendo segunda la balear que no recuerdo su nombre y tercera Vanessa Batallés.
Otros andaluces han entrado casi en el podio, como Jose María que lo hizo 5º en veteranos pero a escasos segundos del tercero y Raúl Fuentes fue 16º y Manu 25º
Andalucía suma y sigue en las carreras por montaña.
